Solar MPPT Charger.
An MPPT, or maximum power point charger is an electronic DC to DC converter that optimizes the match between the solar array (PV panels), and the battery bank or utility grid.
Except for being ideal as a solar charger module, it can be used in many power requirements from charging batteries, driving LED, and as an adjustable power supply for your workbench.
This module uses the LTC3780 high-quality buck-boost IC from Linear Technologies.
Please see this 3780ff pdf datasheet for a full description of the IC as well as additional information about the module.
Please note that the trim pot that is used to adjust the output of the module needs to be turned quite a few times before you can see a change in the output.
