Agreement
These Terms of Use govern access to botshop.co.za and related digital properties operated by Botshop (“Botshop”, “we”, “us”). By accessing or using the website, you agree to these terms. If you are using the site on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation.
Separate Terms of Sale apply when you purchase hardware or services from Botshop. Nothing on this website constitutes a binding offer until confirmed in writing.
Purpose of the website
This website provides information about Botshop’s accredited AI-robotics platforms, certifications, customers, and contact channels. It may include product specifications, documentation excerpts, code samples, learning resources, and references to MCP servers and Add-On ecosystems.
Content is provided for professional evaluation, education, and project planning. We work to keep information accurate and current, but specifications, accreditation status, and availability may change without notice.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the website in any way that violates applicable law or infringes third-party rights.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems, other users’ accounts, or non-public areas of the site.
- Introduce malware, scrape the site in a manner that impairs performance, or circumvent security measures.
- Misrepresent your affiliation with Botshop or use our branding without written permission.
- Use documentation or code samples to create unsafe, non-compliant, or deliberately harmful deployments — particularly in educational or public settings without appropriate supervision and risk assessment.
Intellectual property
Unless stated otherwise, all content on this website — including text, graphics, logos, product photography, documentation, and software examples — is owned by Botshop or its licensors and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
You may view, download, and print reasonable portions of documentation for personal, educational, or internal business use related to Botshop products you own or are evaluating. You may not redistribute, sell, or create derivative commercial products from our materials without prior written consent.
Open-source components referenced in our documentation remain subject to their respective licences. Hardware designs, firmware, and proprietary tooling may be licensed separately.
Documentation and technical resources
Botshop packages knowledge out-of-the-box: manuals, code libraries, MCP servers, and learning paths. These resources are provided to help you build predictive IoT and robotics projects efficiently.
Technical content is offered “as is” for guidance. You are responsible for validating suitability for your environment — including electrical safety, network security, data governance in institutional settings, and compliance with SITA or education standards relevant to your deployment.
Third-party links and partners
The website may link to third parties, including our retail partner Rebel Glitch, component suppliers, and community resources. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party sites, products, or privacy practices. Your use of those services is subject to their terms.
Disclaimer
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the website and its content are provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Product performance, accreditation acceptance in specific tenders, and compatibility with third-party systems should be confirmed with our sales or support team before reliance in production or procurement decisions.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Botshop and its directors, employees, and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of the website or reliance on its content, including loss of profits, data, or project delays.
Our total liability for claims relating to website use is limited to the amount you paid Botshop for related products or services in the twelve months preceding the claim, or ZAR 1,000 if no purchase was made — whichever is greater, except where liability cannot be limited by law.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Botshop against claims arising from your misuse of the website, violation of these terms, or deployment of products or code contrary to documentation or applicable law.
Governing law
These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Republic of South Africa, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections where applicable.
Changes
We may revise these terms at any time by posting an updated version on this page. Your continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
