74HC86 OR GATE
If you are working on a digital level circuit, an X-OR gate will become a crucial component to have. Even though you can make an X-OR gate by using some other logic gates, simply connecting an X-OR gate to your circuit will reduce the size and complexity of your circuit. With this specific X-OR gate, each channel has two inputs and one output, and as the name of the gate suggests, only one of the inputs has to be a logic high for the output of the gate to be a logic high. If both of the input pins of a gate is high, then the gate will also produce a low level logic output.
The HC family of logic gates is nice because of the wide range of input voltage, the speed at which they operate, and they are able to communicate with most other families of logic gates which makes it convenient to swap out components as needed.
