28 Pin IC Socket
IC sockets are used to solder onto a PCB when you are building a project to easily insert or remove different ICs into your project, or to make it easier to replace a damaged ICs when you are in the testing phase of your project. These IC sockets also makes it easier and faster to program ICs, such as the ATMEGA, or other micro controller chips in the form of an IC.
