Arduino Uno Tester

Have you ever worked on a project with an Arduino Uno and you are so sure that your code is working fine but there must be a problem with the Arduino? This little Arduino Uno tester is very simple to use and it is a quick way for you to make sure that all the I/O pins and the analog pins are working correctly. If one of the LEDs on the tester does not turn on when all the lights should be turned on, or one of the analog pins give a strange reading on the OLED when the potentiometer is turned, that means that there is something wrong with your Arduino Uno, but if all these pins test right, chances are that there is probably some mistake in the code.

Note: Arduino Uno not included, only shown in pictures for explanation purposes.

How to use it:

Step one: Download the code for the Arduino Uno tester

Step two: Upload the code to the Arduino Uno

Step three: Unplug the Arduino Uno and push the headers of the tester into the female headers of the Arduino Uno

Step four: Power the Arduino Uno and follow the steps on the OLED screen

Step five: When you are in the final stage, the LEDs corresponding with R2, R4, R5, R8 should turn on and become brighter as the values on the OLD rises when turning the potentiometer.

How to find a problem using the tester:

If one of the LEDs are not switching on, the I/O driving for that LED is not working. You can quickly see what I/O pin/pins is damaged.

If one of the values on the LED is very different from the other values, the analog pin corresponding to the odd value is not working properly

If the Screen does not display the data, one of the I2C communication pins are not working

If the screen does not turn on at all, The 3V pin is not working

If none of the LEDs turn on and the values on the OLED screen does not change when you turn the potentiometer, the 5V pin is not working

If nothing on the board turns on, it means that there is a problem with powering the Arduino Uno.
