This USB cable micro type is often used with cell phones and is also used to connect many microcontroller type boards like the Wemos D1 and NodeMCU to your PC to upload programs and also to power your controller.

Note: this is the same cable used in many cell phone charging cables. Not all cell phone charging cables will work to upload and download data as they are charging only cables.
