3-6V DC Geared Robot Motor.
Geared DC Motors are ideal for projects requiring high torque and low speed, such as moving apart along an axis or turning a belt or chain at a consistent rate, and have a wide variety of uses and applications. This particular model also offers strong anti-interference with ECM, ensuring that it won’t cause any problems with nearby microcontrollers, and is included in many of our Comprehensive Arduino Kits.
Whereas standard motors simply spin at variable speeds according to the weight or size of the part attached to the shaft, a Geared DC Motor is equipped with one or many gears to manipulate the speed at which the shaft spins. This offers the benefit of extra torque due to gear reduction or higher maximum speeds at a lower torque. These motors, however, are typically used for their high torque capabilities.
