Transistors are robust little electronic switches, and when the usual little NPN transistors aren't powerful enough for your project, you can use these TIP120 Darlington transistors. Great for controlling medium to high-power electronics such as motors, solenoids, or 1W+ LEDs.
Each transistor is a general-purpose amplifier, model TIP120 and has a BCE pinout. They can switch up to 60V at peak currents of 8A (not continuously, just peak!) and continuous currents of 5A
